Katie Wood

Katie Wood creates soundscapes, videos, transmissions and live works featuring sounds of water and wind, howls, whispers, seismic vibrations, and radio interference. Her work deals with themes of space, place, belonging and knowledge production around land and landscape. She has shown work in LITHIUM gallery, the Gene Siskel Film Center, Joan Flasch Artist Book Collection, Experimental Sound Studio, and the College of William & Mary. Her work has been featured in online broadcasts and publications like Radio Borealis, Collective Terrain and Bivouac Recordings. She has received a number of scholarships and grants including the Arts, Science & Culture Collaboration Grant from University of Chicago.
